According to Pocket Lint UK, Samsung has launched a solar-powered mobile phone made from PCM, a material extracted from recycled plastic bottles, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. Called Blue Earth, it comes with a touch screen which Samsung claims to be a unique user interface designed “to draw attention to preserving our fragile environment”.
There are no further technical specifics on the mobile phone at this time, but the Samsung Blue Earth is due to be released in mid-2009.
